Propel Physiotherapy is now offering online video consultations for patients who are unable to travel to a clinic.
HOW DO ONLINE PHYSIOTHERAPY CONSULTATIONS WORK?
We are currently using a secure video platform to provide assessment, diagnosis, a treatment plan and follow-up treatment as required.
A lot of aspects of physiotherapy management do not rely on complex machines or hands-on therapy. The evidence is pointing towards good education, advice and prescription and progression of appropriate exercise/rehabilitation plans. Thus, we can deliver this to you in an online format, and there is extensive research evidence to support the efficacy of tele-rehabilitation programs for a variety of conditions.

- Pelvic Girdle Pain and Pubis Symphysis Pain
- Advice about back pain or stiffness
- Pregnancy related back pain
- Urinary/ Faecal Incontinence
- Urinary/ Faecal Urgency
- Pelvic Organ Prolapse
- Exercise Rehabilitation
- Return to exercise in the postnatal period

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER THE APPOINTMENT?
Following any consultation, your advice will be emailed to you, and your exercise program is completed online via a program called PhysiApp. We will also be communicating with you via emails, so feel free to ask us any extra questions.
WILL YOU TELL ME IF I NEED TO SEE SOMEONE IN PERSON?
Based on our assessment, we will see you face-to-face for an assessment or for further treatment as required. There are currently strict precautions and cleaning processes in place due to Covid-19 in the clinic if we were to see you face-to-face.
WHAT ARE THE PAYMENT OPTIONS?
We require full payment of your appointment prior to your telehealth appointment. You will be sent an invoice and you could do a direct debit into the account, or you will be contacted with credit card payment instructions prior to your scheduled call. The consultation cannot take place if the payment has not been received.
WHAT TECHNOLOGY DO I NEED TO ACCESS TELEHEALTH?
Your smartphone, tablet or a computer with Firefox or Chrome browser is compatible with the platform we use for Telehealth.
For virtual exercise classes, we would prefer you to use a laptop as would be a lot easier to communicate with you.
We will send you clear instructions with a link prior to your consultation.
