Propel Physiotherapy Moonee Ponds Mission
There are few experiences that rival the life-changing impact of becoming a parent. Like many others, after childbirth, Aileen became frustrated by the lack of postnatal care available. Everything was highly focused on the babies and their health, and naturally, many mothers became solely focused on this and often forgetting about themselves. Aileen is a living example of the opposite. She cared and prioritised her health and getting stronger, and subsequently found it worlds easier to take care of her baby.

Since graduating as a physiotherapist, Aileen initially specialised in orthopaedics, clinical pilates and musculoskeletal rehabilitation within the tertiary hospital setting and the private sector. She completed her certification in Pilates and combined both her knowledge in exercise rehabilitation and hands-on therapy skill set to empower clients to achieve their goals.
With her special interest in women’s and men’s health, she completed further training in pelvic floor rehabilitation and exercise in women and men’s health at the University of Melbourne. After the completion of her training, she worked privately in Geelong, Fairfield and most recently in the maternity wards of St Vincent’s Private Hospital.
Aileen’s main clinical area of interest includes mastitis, pelvic floor and musculoskeletal rehabilitation and chronic pelvic pain. Aileen also enjoys treating and prescribing clients with Pilates exercises to improve their strength and motor control, enabling clients to achieve their exercise-specific goals. Outside of work, Aileen enjoys being a mother and squeezes in Pilates and various workouts to stay fit and healthy!

Becky was inspired to become a physiotherapist from a young age of 14, after a dancing accident, and underwent knee surgery on both knees! Her dancing accident fuelled her passion to pursue a career in physiotherapy and pilates in the private sector.
She completed her certification in pilates and has had more than 10 years of physiotherapy experience across working in aged care, private hospitals, clinical pilates, and dance physiotherapy. She has a special interest in using clinical pilates in the rehabilitation of musculoskeletal conditions, pregnancy and postnatal women, and of course dance!
Outside of work, Becky loves dancing above all other sports and has dipped her toes in various styles such as salsa, ballet, jazz, tap, hip hop, Argentine tango, waltz and pole dancing. Most importantly, she has become Propel Physiotherapy’s in-house baker!
